President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia criticized the United States and others on Tuesday for what he said was their lack of cooperation with the Russian military campaign in Syria, suggesting that they had "mush for brains."

Mr. Putin was responding to widespread accusations in the West that Russian warplanes were targeting practically every group opposed to the Syrian government except the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL. He complained that while the Russian government had asked for the coordinates of the groups that should or should not be attacked, the United States had not responded to either request.

"Recently, we have offered the Americans: 'Give us objects that we shouldn't target.' Again, no answer," he said. "It seems to me that some of our partners have mush for brains."

In Washington, defense and military officials have privately described the reluctance to work with Russia as a trust issue. First, they fear that the Russians might use the coordinates to target the groups the Americans do not want attacked. Second, Syrian opposition groups are already suspicious that the United States is coordinating with Russia on the attacks, a perception the Pentagon does not want to feed, the officials said.

Gold is reversing its earlier losses as retail sales weakness prompts expectations of moar easing to save the world. This among other reasons is why Elliott Management’s billionair manager Paul Singer told a conference in tel Aviv this morning that he likes gold and the precious metal “should be in every portfolio.” Noting that it has been “treated unfairly,” Singer says gold should be as much as 10% of everyone’s assets.

US computer giant Dell has agreed a deal to buy data storage company EMC for $67bn (£44bn).

EMC shareholders will receive $33.15 per share, $24.05 of which will be in cash.

If approved by regulators, the deal would be the biggest in history between two technology companies.

Falling demand for PCs means Dell is looking to expand into more lucrative businesses, and it has identified data storage as a key growth area.

“Our new company will be exceptionally well-positioned for growth in the most strategic areas of next-generation IT ,” said Dell boss Michael Dell.

EMC boss Joe Tucci said: “The waves of change we now see in our industry are unprecedented and, to navigate this change, we must create a new company for a new era”.

Mr Dell will be chairman and chief executive of the combined group that, Dell said, would be the world’s “largest privately-controlled, integrated technology company”.

The exact cost of the deal will depend on the value of shares in VMware, the software company controlled by EMC. VMware will remain an independent, listed company.

The price per share agreed represents a 20% premium on Friday’s EMC closing share price of $27.86. EMC shares were up about 4% in pre-market trading on Monday.

The deal is expected to close some time between May and October 2016.

Analysts suggested the deal was a brave move by Dell.

“Dell wants to become the old IBM Corp, a one-stop shop for corporate clients,” said Erik Gordon from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

“That model fell apart a couple of decades ago. Reviving it would be a stunning coup for Dell.”

Dell is paying $US67 billion in cash and stock to buy up EMC, a $US54 billion IT titan best known for its data storage products, in the biggest tech merger deal ever.

Plus, Dell gets a controlling stake in VMware, a $US34 billion cloud computing software vendor in its own right, which was 85 per cent owned by EMC.

Dell is raising around $US40 billion in debt financing to make this deal happen.

HP CEO Meg Whitman told employees today that Dell is likely liable for $US2.5 billion in interest alone on that debt every year.

So why did EMC want to sell? Why did Dell want to buy? And does this acquisition have a chance of saving either company?

The problem for both Dell and EMC, is that this merger doesn't solve either of their problems.

Cloud computing is still eating away at the enterprise services market, with an increasing number of companies choosing to simply host some or all of their IT infrastructure withAmazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, in efforts to save on their server bills.

So while this deal may well make Dell's storage business more competitive with HP, it's just making it bigger fish in a shrinking pond. HP and IBM are going through their own painful transformations to fit this new market, so at least Dell's not alone, but it's still a time of great transformation.

Plus, Dell will now be responsible for EMC's complicated corporate structure, streamlining it into its own existing (and large) operation.

In short, Dell's purchase of EMC certainly gives it access to a bunch of new markets. But unless Dell has some kind of Hail Mary planned for its new friends at EMC, it's difficult to see how this acquisition is going to be worth the sheer amount of cash it had to pay in the long run.

Facebook and other Internet giants could be barred from sending European citizens’ personal information to the US after the EU’s top court struck down a key transatlantic data deal in the wake of the Edward Snowden scandal.

The landmark verdict stemmed from a case lodged by Austrian law student Max Schrems, who challenged the ‘Safe Harbour’ agreement between Washington and Brussels in 2000 on the grounds it did not properly protect European data.

Facebook has called for Washington and Brussels to sort out the situation urgently, insisting the case was ‘not about Facebook’ and that it had done nothing wrong.

‘It is imperative that EU and US governments ensure that they continue to provide reliable methods for lawful data transfers and resolve any issues relating to national security,’ a Facebook spokeswoman said in an emailed statement to AFP.

Global companies routinely transfer the data from their European operations to their headquarters in the United States where their computer servers are based.

The EU said it had started negotiating a new Safe Harbour arrangement with the US before the verdict, but insisted that firms could keep sending personal information across the Atlantic in the meantime.

‘We have already been working with the American authorities to make data transfers safer for European citizens. In the light of the ruling, we will continue this work towards a renewed and safe framework,’ European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans said.

Privacy campaigner Schrems was jubilant after the decision tweeting ‘Yay!’ and saying the verdict was a ‘major blow for US global surveillance that heavily relies on private partners.’

The Austrian had argued that the 15-year-old Safe Harbour deal was too weak to guarantee the privacy of European residents following Snowden’s revelations.

The European Court of Justice on Tuesday said authorities in Ireland, where Schrems lodged the case, now had to decide whether transfers of data from Facebook’s European base to its HQ in the United States should be suspended outright.

‘The message is clear – mass surveillance is not possible in Europe (and is) against fundamental rights,’ Schrems, who turns 28 this month, told reporters at the court building in Luxembourg.

Hundreds upon hundreds of anti-Christians people, who hate God and worship Satan, attacked a church in Argentina for its stance against abortion. The antichrist devils openly blasphemed God and praised the murder of children. But, righteous Christian men stood up and defended the church. I did a whole video, showing the footage of the mob attack against the church, the men who stood up against their feminist tyranny, and my own commentary:

What is important for a nation is not being conformed to the capriciousness of the times, but to maintain Christian identity. So I would like to present a short essay, On Christian Identity and the Nation.

God became Man, so that humanity can become one with God. This union between man and God is not only within an individual sphere, but a national capacity. In a nation of Christian identity, it is not just the individual who comes into union with God, but the entire nation, with all of the people working together for the advancement of Christendom and God's law.

Pilate stared Truth right in the eye, and asked, "What is the truth?" And Truth simply gazed back at him. Pilate was in the presence of Truth, and the answer to his question stood right before him. God is the Truth; He is the reason for our existence and the uncaused Cause of our existence and all of the cosmos.

Christ in trial

Without Him, we would not be. Therefore, because He is the reason for our existence, then He must then be the One in Whom our identities are in. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me” (Galatians 2:20).

Christ died for us so that we may die unto ourselves, and put on Jesus Christ. "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts." (Romans 13:14) God is the unmoved Mover, and while nothing can move Him, He moves all things. As St. John of Damascus wrote:

But, since everything that is moved by another, then who is it that moves this? And who is it that moves that? And so we go on endlessly in this way until such time as we arrive at something that is immoveable. For the first mover is unmoved, and it is just this that is the Divinity. Furthermore, how can that which is not locally contained be moved? Therefore, only the Divinity is unmoved, and by His immovability He moves all things." (1)

Christ at the center of the constellations

God is the Eternal Mover; He moves all things and stirs the hearts of kings, from evil to goodness, from tyranny to justice, and takes their souls from the grip of Satan and brings them to His tabernacle, which lies in the temple of the human body, and in the divine santurary of the spirit, brings them into union with the Mind of God. As King Solomon wrote:

The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. (Proverbs 21:1)

The holy king, David, with inspired mind, wrote:

Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal. (Psalm 17:2)

Notice what this beautiful verse says: let my judgment, as a king, come not from my own heart, but from God Himself, in His presence. St. Augustine, writing on this Psalm, said: "From the enlightening of the knowledge of You, let Me judge truth." (2) When the king acts righteously, and fights evil, he is in the presence of God; he is in union with God. Pilate stood in the presence of God, and yet he still in the vagrancy of his soul wondered as to what the truth was, and in this state his judgement did not come for God, in Whose presence he was in, but from the capricious desires of the mob. Pilate believed that a troublemaker stood before him, but indeed it was he who stood before Truth, and being not able to see Truth, and soaking in the bile of human delusion, he enslaved himself to puffed up slander.

Christ before Pilate

Peter walked on the water, and by this he represented the Church rising above and ruling the nations. "And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus." (Matthew 14:29) As long as Christendom keeps its Christian identity, and walks toward Jesus, it shall rule the nations. But when it sees the raging and raving seas of the mob, and like Peter, becomes afraid (Matthew 14:30), it shall, like Pilate, deny the Truth that is before them, and crucify our Lord Himself for the pleasing of the wicked masses.

The nations who do this will slaughter the innocent of whom Christ said, "inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." (Matthew 25:40) And who are these words addressed to, but the nations? For Christ foretells that in the Day of Judgement it will not just be individuals who will be judged, but whole nations:

All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. (Matthew 25:32)

St. Peter

There are, then, wicked nations who are under the influence of Satan, and there are good nations that are one with God and used as His instrument to execute His wrath against the satanic countries. Hence Christ told His Disciples to not teach only individuals, but all nations, and bring them into the Holy Trinity:

Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19)

Christ wanted to bring nations into the Holy Trinity — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Because God the Son is very Man, then by these beautiful words, is He inviting nations to become united with the Holy Trinity, through Him. By His Humanity is humanity redeemed, and nations showed the door into the heavenly Wisdom of God, that is, Jesus Christ.

When God became Humanity, He became us. Thus the Apostle says that God "hath raised us up together, and hath made us sit together in the heavenly places, through Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 6:2) There are those who will argue and say, 'I thought God could not change! How then could He become man without changing?" Mankind, from his initial and intended state, was created to become one with God; so then, God becoming Man never involved anything against His nature nor the nature of man, and nor did it make God change, since it is of His nature to become one with humanity. It was of the nature of both man and God to unify. St. John of Damascus, when discoursing on the unity between Man and God, beautifully wrote:

We do say that the entire substance of the Divinity was united to the entire human nature, because God the Word lacked none of those things which He implanted in our nature when He formed us in the beginning; He assumed them all — a body and a rational, intellectual soul, together with the properties of both, for the animal which lacks one of these is not a man. He in His entirety assumed me in my entirety and was wholly united to the whole, so that He might bestow the grace of salvation upon the whole. (3)

God did not become Man in the sense that He put on sinful flesh, but that He became Man in his original state: sinless and in perpetual contemplation on God and in God. When man was first created, Adam walked and lived in continual and blissful contemplation; he lived in God and was adorned with God, being clothed with Him. "For," says St. John of Damascus, "while in his body he dwelt in this most sacred and superbly beautiful place, as we have related, spiritually he resided in a loftier and far more beautiful place. There he had the indwelling God as a dwelling place and wore Him as a glorious garment. He was wrapped about with His grace, and, like some one of the angels, he rejoiced in the enjoyment of that one most sweet fruit which is the contemplation of God, and by this he was nourished. Now, this is indeed what is fittingly called the tree of life, for the sweetness of divine contemplation communicates a life uninterrupted by death to them that partake of it." (4)

Man walked with God, unhindered by the distractions of fleshy thoughts and anxieties, fears and worries, journeying through the path of light, living in constant meditation that ceaselessly remains, not cut off by death, but perpetuating in the utmost ecstasy in the Beatific Vision. This was the original state of man, before the woman consumed the fruit and treacherously got her husband to sink his teach into its forbidden flesh.

So thus, God did not change anything of His nature when He became Man, but rather He unified with the original nature of Humanity — to be in union with God in beautiful theosis — when he was to be one with his Creator. When God became Man, He was simply showing us the original state of mankind. Mankind was created to be in union with God; and God became Man so that man can unite with God. By God becoming one with Humanity, He also showed us the original state of government. When Adam and Eve lived on the earth, they were humanity, and they were their own government. Just as the first governor, Adam, lived in a state of perpetual union with God, so the state suppose to do the same, existing under the influence of God, always waiting for the commands of God’s Church, with her prophets and mystics who live as bridges between man and God. “Kings reign by me, and rulers dispense justice through me.” (Proverbs 8:15)

All of the justice executed by kings and rulers is done because God moved them to do so. All of the evils done by kings is thus done by the influence of Satan, such as when “Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.” (1 Chronicles 21:1) There are therefore kings influenced by the devil, and those who rule under the inspiration of God. When David was under holy inspiration, he was about to fight the Amelekites — the enemies of God — and “strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6)

When the people of Israel wanted to live righteously, they did this not as mere individuals, but as a whole nation, and “entered into a curse and an oath to walk in God's Law” (Nehemiah 10:29). When Josiah decided to destroy paganism and homosexuality in Israel, he “made a covenant before the Lord, to follow the Lord and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul” (2 Kings 23:4). To follow God with all heart and soul, is to be one with Him.

Read the words of Truth Himself, when He said of those who follow Him, "my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and will make our abode with him." (John 14:23) God unites with His children, and if His children are a nation, then He will unite with that nation, and use it for His righteousness, to defeat the wicked and conquer evil. He will live amongst the nation, and in the words of Gregory Palamas, "judging it right to dwell in believers by the authentic adoption, according to the gift and grace of the Holy Spirit. So, when you hear that God dwells in us through the virtues, or that by means of the memory He comes to be established in us, and do not imagine that deification is simply the possession of the virtues; but rather that it resides in the radiance and grace of God, which really comes to us through the virtues." (5) If a man can be mystically unified with God, then an entire nation can as well. And if God became Humanity, then a whole civilization of humanity can be unified with Him in mystical theosis.

In the case of King Josiah, what occurred for him to turn to God and fight evil? The priest, Shaphan, read the Scriptures to him. “And Shaphan read it before the king.” (2 Kings 22:10) The Church, then, must be the light to the king, acting as a mediator between man and God, bringing the truth of law to ruler, just as Shaphan did with Josiah; Samuel with Saul; Nathan with David; Melchizedek with Abraham; Elijah with Ahab. King Jehoshaphat was in God when he did “what was right in the sight of the Lord” (1 Kings 22:43) and “exterminated the remnant of the male cult prostitutes who remained in the days of his father Asa.” (1 Kings 22:46)

By fighting evil the king maintains peace. Pope Innocent III described peace as “the bond of love” (6). Peace is the bond of love, and whoever breaks peace hinders this bond, and whoever goes against peace goes against God, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Those who against God are enemies of peace, and thus of the union between the State and God. When the king protects peace, he practices love, and thus he is in Love, that is, he is in God. When the king is lax then he will fall into the evil of David. For “David remained at Jerusalem” when his men “destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah.” (2 Samuel 11:1) He was lax and idle, and in the wanderings of his mind turned from fighting evil to murdering his fellow man. Such is the ways of government: if they do not see the devil as their enemy, they will see man as their enemy. But it takes a prophet, like Nathan, to bring the king back to God.

If God united Himself with Humanity, then He most certainly can unite Himself with a nation and a civilization. Christ said, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5) While everyone reads these words and thinks of it as a delightful maxim on meek people, such words are really of an imperial nature, speaking of the Empire of Christ with the meek and humble citizens of God conquering evildoers. For in the Psalms it says,

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: and thou shalt seek his place, and shalt not find it. But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace. (Pslam 36:10-11)

The holy prophet, in the same Book of Psalms, writes of the meek joyfully living in the nations who now submit under God's authority, with Christ ruling them as Emperor over them:

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations. (Psalm 22:26-28)

Christ, with sword in hand, soaked in blood, uses His enemies as footstools as they bend their necks to be struck by His blade. He conquers and is victorious, and crushes His enemies like grapes in the winepress, covered in their blood, He arises above the nations, and receives nothing but universal obeisance. And in His victories, He leads the righteous nations who bow before Him.

God will take even the most savage of nations and bring its people to spiritual awakening through His Spirit, and bring them into conformity with Him. The prodigal son left his father to satisfy his fleshy desires, only to eat amongst the pigs, and realizing his enslavement to sin, and how he lost humanity and became like an animal, he returned to his father to feast with him.

A nation functions no differently than an individual. A nation enslaves itself to the devil, degrades itself to the lowest of wickedness and becomes a land of savage animals, and suddenly it comes to enlightenment, and coming to the God Who became Humanity, it returns to being humanity, leaves off its animalistic ways, and puts on Jesus Christ.

The Prodigal Son reunites with his father

The light of God transcends the individual, and brings the collective into the mystical union. Individuals not only maintain Christianity, but the governmental institutions as well labor and see to it that Christian identity is honored and esteemed, and never belittled. St. Theophan the Recluse wrote:

God leads us in the way of the cross, tests us in this life, and brings us to the eternal life of everlasting bliss. This divine order includes and contains all people, events, and institutions, and even the very principles by which everything runs. (7)

Institutions would include governments, and these too are involved in participating in God. Good does not stay still, it expands; it does not remain indifferent, it conquers. We as human beings were created to participate in the Good. As St. John of Damascus says,

Now, because the good and transcendentally good God was not content to contemplate Himself, but by a superabundance of goodness saw fit that there should be some things to benefit by and participate in His goodness, He brings all things from nothing into being and creates them, both visible and invisible, and man, who is made up of both." (8)

By being in union with God, man becomes an instrument for God's justice, and thus by the state being in union with God it is used by God, "for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well" (1 Peter 2:14) and to be "the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." (Romans 13:4)

In the war between good and evil, the physical world is used by God to defeat spiritual darkness. Hence God used a flood in one time, and the armies of Israel under Joshua in another. The flesh is under the command of the Spirit to vanquish the works of the devil. In the Sacrifice of Christ, "the flesh served as an instrument of the divinity." (9) If the Humanity of Christ served as an instrument for the Divinity, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), then humanity itself comes into union with God, through the Humanity of Christ, and is used as His instruments to expand His justice.

St. John Chrysostom said in one homily, "He hath made us His own body, He hath imparted to us His own body". (10) Christ became us, and so we, in putting on Christ, become like Him and fight His enemies. When Christ destroys the works of the devil, we are obligated to follow His war, for He became us, and it behooves us to emulate Him.

This is not an individualistic matter, but a collective and universal one. The Scripture does not say that individuals in Nineveh came to God, but that "the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them." (Jonah 3:5) The state was not left out but took part in enforcing the pious identity that the people adopted, for "word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands." (Jonah 3:6-8)

The nation adopts the Faith, and the state partakes in its role to see to it that the Faith is respected and observed. This is what happens when God unites with a nation.

When the Antichrist will come, God will "raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men." (Micah 5:5) These are seven nations, and they will be united with God and participate in His power and goodness.

The prophet Joel, foretelling on these times, says that Christ "the Lord hath uttered his voice before the face of his army: for his armies are exceeding great, for they are strong and execute his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible: and who can stand it?" (Joel 2:11)

The armies will be great, because they will be with God and in God Who "shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body" (Philippians 3:21), and with this new body in the armies of Christ "They shall run like valiant men: like men of war they shall scale the wall: the men shall march every one on his way, and they shall not turn aside from their ranks. No one shall press upon his brother: they shall walk every one in his path: yea, and they shall fall through the windows, and shall take no harm. They shall enter into the city: they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up the houses, they shall come in at the windows as a thief. At their presence the earth hath trembled, the heavens are moved: the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars have withdrawn their shining." (Joel 2:7-10)

This will be the power of the Christian nations under Christ; they will be beyond mortal, and shall be like Christ, being led by Him. Joshua took up twelve stones before conquering Canaan, and Christ took up twelve men to conquer the world. Conquer, then, O Christendom, and let Truth be seen in all the world.

We have to prepare our minds and intellect for this spiritual war that we are in. This is why I made a 2-disk DVD series on teaching the warring spirit of the Christian Faith.

For too long Christianity has been watered down in our modern day as a pacifist faith with no inclination of fighting evil. But is the Church here to be weak and useless? Major leaders of the Vatican gathered together and demanded that the US government accept 100,000 Islamic refugees, which would obviously only bring in terrorists into the country. According to the report:

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is appealing to the U.S. government to take in 100,000 Syrian refugees by the end of the year, along with an additional 100,000 from other countries. The population of Syrian refugees is overwhelmingly Muslim.

In a message distributed via email, the USCCB is encouraging Catholics to submit a letter to their congressional representatives as well as to President Obama urging the government to "protect the lives and dignity of people in Syria, Iraq and in other countries suffering war, persecution and poverty." According to the pre-transcribed letter this is to be accomplished by accepting "more Syrian refugees — especially the most vulnerable — and ensuring their safe resettlement" while providing "generous aid to nations in the Middle East that are hosting millions of refugees."

I wish America had a bishop like Kiss-Rigo, the major bishop in Hungary, who said of the refugees:

They're not refugees. This is an invasion… They come here with cries of 'Allahu Akbar.' They want to take over.

The American bishops are the most corrupt bishops in the entire Church. They are truly a Brood of vipers! (Matthew 12:34). They are filled with homosexuality and are inventors of evil things, tolerating all sorts of evils in the Catholic Church, especially the depraved sin of the sodomites.

There are major homosexual rings in the Vatican, what I like to call “homosexual hornets nests.” I myself have had experience with the homosexual infiltrators in the Catholic Church.

While we were doing some work in Texas we were told of a man named Msgr. Michael Yarbrough (also known as Michael Yarborough), of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and how he is a deviant priest who forcefully kissed a young man named Hector Escalante on the lips, and how he was supporting a pro homosexual group called Call to Action. Here is a photo of Msgr. Michael Yarbrough:

Well, we decided that we were going to bait Msgr. Michael Yarbrough. I visited him in a confessional booth where I told him my age and apparently it registered an interest and he asked me if I wanted to come and hang out with him. He fell for the bait. I found it very odd that a priest of his high position, with a very busy schedule, would all of a sudden want to spend time with me.

I accepted his offer, and gave him a call, and asked him if we would meet at a book store. He said that he preferred that we meet in his office. I found this quite disturbing because it was in his office where he kissed Hector Escalante. When I did research on Msgr. Michael Yarbrough, I found a 2002 report written in the San Antonio Express which stated:

Hector Escalante complained that Monsignor Michael Yarbrough kissed him on the lips and groped him in his office in 1998 when Escalante was 27, on his last day on the job as a St. Matthew’s Parish employee.

Yarbrough admitted kissing him but said Escalante misunderstood the gesture, which the priest said was common among men in his family. He denied groping Escalante.

I told Msgr. Michael Yarbrough that it would be better that we meet in a book store, to which he agreed. I asked him how much time he had, and he said, as long as I wanted. After doing some more research, I also found out that on top of kissing a young man on the lips, Msgr. Michael Yarbrough is a also a major donor to a pro homosexual group, called Call to Action, and I found his name on a list made by Call to Action designated as “major donors”. I took a snapshot of the list with Msgr. Michael Yarbrough’s name highlighted:

So, we had the meeting at the bookstore, and after some conversation, I busted him on his heresies and his scandals, and also paid a visit to his church where I was eventually kicked out by his followers (who probably know nothing on how evil this heretic is). Here is the video:

For years we have seen how the Vatican covers up for sexual predators and deviants, heretics and debased theologians. But we have never seen how the agents of the Vatican cover up for such evildoers in their private conversations. I confronted Deacon Ron Walker, an official of the Vatican, asking why the Church has done nothing to punish Robert L. Kincl, a priest and canon law judge who was appointed by the Pope himself, who teaches that if two men masturbate each other they do not commit sin, and who himself defended confirmed child molester priest, Fr. Robert Hrdlicka. This is after Shoebat.com filed a complaint against Kincl after we caught him teaching us depravity.

Deacon Ron Walker and the Bishop of Austin, Joe Vasquez, and Vicar General Daniel Garcia, did nothing to have Robert L. Kincl punished, even after they promised to take care of this evil. Shoebat.com realized that they were just patronizing video.

Robert L. Kincl, who was appointed by the Pope, had befriended us as a fan of Shoebat.com acting as conservative, yet referred to homosexual fondling as permissible in the conversation. Having been shocked at his remarks, I told Kincl:

How can you, as a priest, be so liberal toward such a sick evil as two men fondling each other, or as two men having a “relationship” just as long as they are not going with other men. It is evil and it is reprobate.

I also told him:

It is not tolerable for you, as both a priest and a canon law judge, to be permissive to somebody having a homosexual relationship just as long as they are not being promiscuous with other men. It is deplorable, and in the words of St. Paul, “worthy of death” (Romans 1:32).

Kincl defended his position and responded with a rejection of the Old Testament and a twisting of St. Paul’s condemnation of homosexuality in Romans, stating

We do not follow the Hebrew Scriptures. We follow Jesus Christ who never mentioned gay relationships. When St. Paul mentioned such a relationship he was referring to the promiscuousness of the Romans using sodomy.

Shoebat.com decided to investigate Kincl and found that he has a dark past. In 1993, Kincl worked as a Commander in charge of clergy at the U.S. Navy, and while he was in the service he defended another chaplain confirmed to be guilty of child molestation, named Robert Hrdlicka.

The investigation revealed that Robert L. Kincl had even written the authorities, not to charge the pedophile who molested the young boys, but urged them to send him back to serve as a chaplain:

Catholic chaplain Lt. Robert Hrdlicka pleaded guilty to molesting boys in 1993. Before his sentencing, six other Catholic Navy chaplains and the church's archbishop for the military services urged authorities to send Lt. Hrdlicka to a church-run treatment center.

"It is my fervent hope and prayer that he will be able to return to the active ministry as soon as possible," wrote then-Cmdr. Robert L. Kincl.

Instead, Lt. Hrdlicka went to prison.

Shoebat.com looked up Kincl’s My Life page, to find out that after all these years Kincl is still friends with Hrdlicka the pedophile, since he is on his friends list, of which I took snapshots:

Just as we have Muslims, like Bergdahl, who have infiltrated the military, we have people like Kincl who have infiltrated both the military and the Catholic Church, with their depravity.

Kincl is now serving as a priest in Our Lady’s Maronite Catholic Church alongside Msgr. Don Sawyer. When I confronted Sawyer on Kincl, Sawyer vehemently defended Kincl.

Shoebat.com decided to contact the Diocese of Austin to file a complaint, and spoke with the Very Reverend Daniel E. Garcia as the Vicar General for the Diocese of Austin, and Chancellor and Secretariat Director for Administration, Deacon Ron Walker, who were under Bishop Joe S. Vásquez of the Diocese of Austin.

We asked them how could someone who supports homosexuality and defended a pedophile still be serving as a priest and not be excommunicated, to which Deacon Ron Walker, rolling his eyes, said that the Church’s main objective would be to reconcile him with God, and not excommunicate him.

It seems that the Diocese of Austin could care less if one of its priests supports homosexuality and defended a pedophile.

Why is this man serving as a priest when the Catholic Church, in its teachings, forbids homosexuality?

It is not surprising to see how far reaching homosexuality has gone in the Vatican. What other deviancies will enter the Vatican in the next decade remains to be seen. Whatever happened to normal sin? In the good old days, steeling a chicken perhaps constituted such sin, but these days, its sleeping with it.

If your pastor says anything in favor for Islam and homosexuality, confront him, and do so with aggression. If you attend a Christian school or university, and they have events in favor for homosexuality or Islam, go in there and confront the entire event, and do so with aggression.

If our Lord entered the Temple with a whip, the least we can do is confront these devils, and do so with aggression, and film them. Instill fear into their hearts, and horrify them into submission.

It is my aspiration that this video will begin an international movement I call Operation Whip. We must confront the deviant and heretical ministers, and not only that, we must film them and post the videos on the internet. Its time to apply the whip (peer pressure) on them.

This will break their will and put us, the zealous, in the position of power and advantage over them, and make them submit to God and not to money and mammon.

The time for weakness and sycophancy is over, there must be a movement of zealots who will take up cameras, confront these wicked ministers, and make them tremble.

For decades righteous Christians have been being mistreated and ignored by church leaders, and this is because so many Christians have, innocently, placed themselves under the authority of the hirelings with the impression that they are doing the right thing by being submissive, even when they are promoting evil and depravity.

St. Thomas Aquinas calls this indiscriminate obedience, which recklessly obeys all things regardless of how destructive they may be. (Aquinas, Summa Theologiae, IIa IIae, 104, article 5). All tyrannies thrive on indiscriminate obedience, for without those who think that submission to them is righteous, all of their power crumbles.

It is the same with cults and corrupt ministers. The reason why we have them is because of all the people who support them, and agree with them. But even in churches where the minister is corrupt, you have righteous congregants who do want to learn truth, but instead get nothing but the rubbish that springs from the superficial love of mammon.

These righteous Christians will go to the pastor, try to talk to them, but will get nothing but a passing of the buck, some nice words, some empty promises from the pastor that he will “think about it.” Or, they will try to set up a meeting with the pastor, but will get continuous excuses such as “the pastor is very busy” or endless postponements.

The days of wasting time and struggling just to get a useless meeting with a pastor, are over. Now we are in the days that obligate us to confront these wicked ministers, just as our Lord confronted those who were prostituting His Father’s Temple with zeal and a whip.

These are the days of zeal, these are the days in which we must stand up to the hirelings to their faces, film it, and let them fear and respect us, and not the other way around.

This is what Operation Whip is about, confronting pastors and teachers when they preach heresy and evil, get it on film, expose them.

I ask you, confront any wicked pastor or teacher you know, film it, post it online, and send it over to shoebat.com with proof of his evils, and we will make sure that its seen. We have to shift the battle against them.

If we can all do this, then we can clean out the Church in a matter of months.

What a happy Tyrant time it’s been for us fans, who have been waiting with baited breath about the fate of our favorite Middle Eastern dynasty drama! The popular and controversial FX show has been renewed for a third season, which means we’ll get to see more of Bassam and his narcissism, Jamal either alive or from beyond the grave, and more of Leila slaying the children down, boots, with her glamorous fashion.

With the new characters and the more expansive world we got last season, the sky is the limit on what we could see next year. Here is a list of just five of the things I hope come to pass.

1. Bassam finds a purpose once again.

At the end of the second season, Bassam halfway fulfilled his goals from the first season, which were 1) to take Jamal out of power, dead or alive, and 2) to become the next Abudinnian president. But the introduction of Rami, Leila and Ahmed’s stealthy coup, and Bassam’s own fatigue from blood lust have made Bassam not want to take on the mantle of president if it means having to kill again. Luckily for him, he didn’t have to shoot Jamal (spoiler alert: Nusrat did), but Bassam still doesn’t want anything to do with Abuddinian politics.

So now what? Originally, Bassam was shown to be an unwittingly cunning killing machine, but if the killing machine doesn’t want to kill anymore, does he go back to being a doctor? Can he go back to being a doctor in the States, now that he’s known as the revolutionary Khalil? Does he stay in Abuddin as a Martin Luther King–esque grassroots leader? What happens to him now? Let’s hope the season primarily deals with this, as well as what kind of fallout his family will have to live with from his decisions.

2. Bassam gets with Daliyah.

As much as it pains me to say it, I really like Bassam with Daliyah. It seems like with Daliyah, he’s a much better character than when he’s Barry, a California physician. Daliyah brings out the best in him and knows how to support him in his political and social endeavors much better. She also understands him in a way that Molly never could. Do I want to see a triangle? Not really, because I personally hate triangles; you get with whom you want to get with and be done, in my world.

But do I want Bassam to fight for Daliyah, and do I want Daliyah to not be able to leave Bassam alone despite her better judgement? Yes. Molly, for all of her Lifeclass-isms and well-meaningness, can’t hold a candle to Daliyah.

3. The Battle of Brothers begins anew.

We may or may not be finished with the original Battle of Brothers, Bassam and Jamal, since some fans still think Jamal is going to pull through. But regardless of the gripes the OGs have with one another, I hope we finally get to see the Battle of Brothers, new-style, with Ahmed and Rami. This season had Rami stun the fans with his forthright attitude and humanitarian spirit, making him an insta-favorite. But we’ve ridden longer with Ahmed, who has shown himself to be equal to Rami in caring about others and wanting the best out of people.

Both characters also have a crouching tiger in their personalities, giving them the ability to snap off on some folks (e.g., when Ahmed went H.A.M. on Jamal’s would-be assassin early in the season, and that mysterious scar Rami acquired from one of his tours). Both could start fighting over the title of leader very soon, since Rami is basically ready to step in as that leader thanks to his military experience and humanitarian work—and Ahmed has Leila to help groom him into the role. But who will take the proverbial crown? If the battle finally happens this season, I’m all for it.

4. We finally learn Jamal’s fate.

Some people think that with Jamal out of the picture, there won’t be any more reason to watch Tyrant. From where I’m sitting, there will be tons of reasons to watch Tyrant without Jamal. As with Downton Abbey and its sudden loss of fan favorites (LADY SYBIL! MATTHEW! WHY?!), the vacuum created by Jamal’s absence will have the characters scrambling to figure out their new roles in this new reality. And someone out of the bunch will rise up as the new villain.

But we don’t actually know if Jamal is dead for real. In my season finale recap, I assumed he was dead, since he didn’t want anyone to save him and he seemed pretty much a goner. But this is also a soap opera, and who knows what could happen? But after killing his mom, it seemed like Jamal had finally had enough and wanted to go. If he stuck around for the new season, his storyline could get pretty dark, since he’d probably feel like God was punishing him even more by keeping him alive. This could make for fantastic drama, though. (By the way, all this talk of Jamal’s fate and Bassam’s not-killing makes me sound very cold and cruel. I promise I’m not.)

5. Emma comes back, better than ever.

Look here, show—I’ve had about enough of Creepy Lawyer macking on Molly. Get rid of him and give that precious screen time back to Emma. Emma is still an Al-Fayeed, remember? She doesn’t need to be carted off to the sidelines! My hope is that Emma not only returns to Abuddin, but starts messing stuff up for everyone so she can have the power that that side of the family denied her in money form (i.e., the will).

Emma with a chip on her shoulder would be a great Emma. Or, if she must stay stateside, she could start mucking up stuff with any kind of political clout she could muster just by throwing her name around. She could create her own celebrity status with that name, and she’s in the right state to do so! Anything for Emma would be better than leaving her—routinely one of the few characters to use common sense and speak for the audience—by the wayside. Do better by her, show.

Season 1 | Episode 4 | “The Big Blind” | Aired Oct 15, 2014

Ladies and gentlemen, The Player has given us quite possibly the world’s first constructive power outage.

Trying to stash an old friend in a hotel, Alex Kane (Philip Winchester) is surprised when the hit men pursuing them discover their location. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they cut the power to the building, rendering Cassandra (Charity Wakefield) powerless to help him. It’s up to Alex, unarmed and using only construction supplies plus the camera on his cell phone, to catch the bad guys by surprise and engineer a safe escape from the building.

This scene is the key to “The Big Blind” for a number of reasons. Most immediately, it reminds us that Alexander Kane is television’s new Jack Bauer. He’s a character who can use his brain as much as his brawn. He concocts a battle plan on the fly, then executes it in really entertaining fashion, whether it’s using the camera to blind one guy wearing night-vision goggles, or making use of a lighter to turn another man into a human candle. Alex can handle himself, even if he’s outnumbered and has next to nothing available. Watching this scene, we learn that he is never really out of the fight.

That’s significant, because as we mentioned in discussing the pilot, Alex isn’t just the pawn in the Game. He brings his own skills, his own experience, and his own way of doing things to the table. You can tell the audience that someone is the biggest special-forces badass on the planet, but it doesn’t mean anything unless we see that character doing things that prove the point. Watching this scene, it’s apparent how cunning and tough Alex is, and why this secret cabal of gamblers would pretend to kill his wife in order to get him on their team. This isn’t somebody you’d want to be on the wrong side of.

This scene isn’t a victory for the House; it’s a win for Alex Kane.

Almost more important, the power outage proves that the House has its flaws. When Cassandra’s precious computer system goes blind, it’s the first time we’ve seen the organization at a severe disadvantage. The biggest danger that The Player has to contend with every week is not making that group, with its oft-referenced vast resources and constant presence, into its own deus ex machina. Cassandra can’t always be there to save Alex from danger. Last week’s episode, “L.A. Takedown,” sort of cheated this idea by having Alex in the middle of the desert, but having her find a government drone that just happened to be left in the area. This time, she’s completely out of the Game; that shows the viewers that this series won’t rely on the easy out. Alex will have to win his own battles.

(It also opens up all sorts of future possibilities. Technology, after all, is fallible. What happens if the House’s computer gets hacked? Contracts a virus? Contracts 400,000 viruses? Someone doesn’t update to Windows 11? Lots of stuff that could go wrong here.)

If that still wasn’t enough for you to think about, Alex learns near the end of the episode that the hit men found the hotel because Mr. Johnson gave them his location—Johnson’s dishing out of “consequences” that Alex incurred earlier. As Alex points out, that could’ve gotten everyone killed. It also makes you wonder about the extent to which everyone is playing everyone else, and how this is all supposed to work.

Are we implying that the Game has a pseudo-penalty box, where any misstep by Alex means an advantage is given to the other side of the bet? That’d be a dangerous concept, especially since it’s not entirely clear what the rules are for him to break. And who decides that “consequences” need to be given out? Is it the faceless, nameless gamblers we can’t see? Or is it Mr. Johnson, whom Alex knows has his own agenda? If the latter, it wouldn’t be implausible for him to use that idea to his own advantage should Alex get too far in his way. After all, one of their first conversations involved Alex threatening to throw Mr. Johnson through the window.

I’ve heard a lot of people saying that they don’t understand the concept of The Player, but it’s not that out there. Basically, a mysterious organization has hired a guy to fight crime; the only quirk is that rather than doing it to save the world, they’re doing it to see what happens. What really makes this show appealing is the game within the Game—watching all these characters as they’re interacting with one another and trying to figure out what they’re up to.

By pulling the plug on one hotel, we learned that the House can be powerless to help Alex, that Alex is never powerless to help himself or others in need, and that Mr. Johnson will do whatever he damn well wants regardless of what else is happening. On top of that, we got to see an amazing fight sequence. Most power outages are pretty bad things, but in The Player‘s case, this one was very, very good.

Season 17| Episode 4| “Community Policing” | Aired Oct 14, 2015

Once more, SVU decided to torture me with yet another insightful, fraught-with-seriousness-and-tension episode that I can’t mock, pick apart, or satirize. DAMN YOU, SVU. What is this, the thousandth time they’ve done this to me?!? Season 17 has had nary a “John Stamos impregnating 35 women,” “Fred Savage punching Liv,” or even a “Shirley from Laverne & Shirley making her granddaughter sick on purpose” storyline so far. It’s all timely topics and little-to-no camp. I need camp! I need to pitch a tent and chuckle at the wife obviously having done it for the grandmother’s embryos. That came out wrong.

Here’s something fluffy. Mariska Hargitay’s flat-ironed hair is ON POINT this ep. Whew! That felt good. Anyway, back to the depressing.

In recent times, Ferguson, Baltimore, and way too many other places in the U.S. have witnessed tragic incidents of unarmed men of color gunned down by police officers. “Community Policing” finds Liv and the gang caught between supporting their brother and sister officers and making sure that justice is done.

He’s called “The Push-In Rapist,” and his crimes are horrendous. He attacks women as they’re entering their apartments. The squad is on hand for the aftermath of the latest attack. The perp shoved the wife inside, pistol-whipped the husband, raped the wife, and then kidnapped and raped their 12-year-old daughter. She was found in the building’s laundry room, bloody but alive. Can anyone suggest a Care Bears ep I could watch right now?

The suspect has been described by the victims as a black male with a short Afro wearing a vintage basketball jersey. He’s armed and dangerous. The squad also has a sketch of the perp. They’re assisting the other precinct’s squad (including an old friend: Detective Joe “Doom” Dumas) and they’re aided by several uniforms. A victim’s credit card has been flagged as used at a bodega near a project. The security-cam footage shows a man with a short Afro wearing the described jersey.

We also learn that latest rape victim’s husband and father have ties to the NYPD.

Next thing we know, the suspect has been spotted entering the aforementioned projects. The police follow. The suspect boots. Everyone at home starts shifting uneasily on their couches because, unfortunately, this is a familiar story. Shots fired! Liv, Fin, Carisi, and the rest find a dying young black man, three shocked officers (including “Doom,” which is an unfortunately apt nickname in this case), and no gun.

Liv and Capt. Reece begin issuing orders. Locate the gun, and find out if Terrence Reynolds (the downed suspect) lives in the projects. If so, search his place and find anything linking him to the rapes. Capt. Reece has to keep telling the officers that shot the suspect (Doom, Det. Louise Campesi, and a Sgt. Donlan) to keep their mouths shut and get to the hospital for a tox screen.

Residents begin recording everything with smartphones and demanding to know what’s going on. Reynolds’s apartment turns up little but a couple of joints despite Carisi getting heavy on Terrence’s bewildered roommate. At the hospital, Reynolds’s parents arrive demanding to know what’s going on. Liv tells them the bad news. The 35 bullets that were fired at their son caused his death. Overkill much? Our friend Tucker from the rat squad—I’m sorry, Internal Affairs—shows up, as one does when the cops look shifty. Doom, Det. Campesi, and Sgt. Donlan all testify that the suspect reached for something in his belt and turned toward them. They all repeat the same line (that was obviously fed to them by their union delegate): “At that moment I felt that my life, and the lives of my fellow officers, was in danger.” Tucker shuts the deposition cam off to suggest to Doom that maybe he and his coworkers shouldn’t parrot each other so precisely when testifying about why they killed an unarmed black man.

The city is up in arms over what is being perceived as yet another example of black lives NOT mattering to police. Our old friend Rev. Curtis has teamed up with Terrence’s grief-stricken parents and their lawyer to launch a separate investigation so there isn’t a cover-up. That super-gross Assistant Commissioner Hank Abraham shows up to Barba’s office to make sure he investigates and prosecutes to the fullest extent of the law. A grand jury is called after it’s discovered that: a) The rapist’s DNA in no way matches Terrence Reynolds’s and b) There is footage of the three cops shooting him in the doorway of his building—it looks very much like an execution and the very definition of overkill.

Liv spends the episode trying to convince Barba to see it as cops just doing their job, and a tragic mistake that wasn’t reckless endangerment, negligent homicide, or even murder. Barba, after seeing the tape, is pretty much looking at our three officers as an officer of the courts would at a drug cartel hit squad. Fin, Carisi, and Rollins are also trying to be there for their fellow officers. Rollins has something of a history (he’s not the dad, hold on for that news) with Doom, and it’s pretty obvious that he knows he’s going down for the killing.

Barba convenes the grand jury. He antagonizes Liv and Carisi on the stand. They both try to stand by the officers, but Barba is unflagging. Liv is arguing that it was a brutally hot summer night, the fleeing man matched the description of the suspect, they were in the projects (she doesn’t elaborate on that one), and it did look like he might have had a gun from their angle. The grand jury isn’t buying it. Doom isn’t either. Barba wants to know why he only fired three shots while Campesi and Donlan fired 32. He gets Doom to haltingly admit that he ceased firing because he realized they had probably made a mistake. The grand jury is so sure that the cops straight-up murdered Terrence Reynolds that they ask if they can include homicide on the bill.

The cops are indicted on manslaughter charges. (Doom for reckless endangerment). The rapist is still free. And none of this has done squat to solve our country’s race problem.

Oh, and in interesting baby daddy news, Donal Logue shows up! Remember Declan? He briefly headed up the squad and saved Manda’s bacon when she was undercover and falling into a bottle of whiskey whilst clutching poker chips? He did more than save her bacon. He porked it! I apologize for that one, but he’s the dad. Amanda promises they’ll talk, because she hadn’t told him yet. In her defense, he was in Serbia. In his defense, telecommunications are pretty much ubiquitous in 2015, right?

Season 12| Episode 4| “Old Time Rock and Roll” | Aired Oct 15, 2015

Sex is an important part of life. It’s an even more important part of Grey’s Anatomy, so it was only a matter of time until Maggie ended up in the sheets with one of the hospital’s finest. Who knew that it would be THE hospital’s finest? While Maggie was finding the finer things in life by adding in a character, Meredith is discovering that less is sometimes more. Let’s discuss:

Vagina City: Population One
Maggie wakes up as Dr. DeLuca is leaving her bed, and she begs him not to leave because someone might see him. Completely cavalier about being seen semi-shirtless, he sashays out of Maggie’s room—as one does when they’re shaved and pectacular. Amelia is the first one to see him and announces it to everyone. It’s such an Amelia thing to do. “If they don’t go down to lady town the first time, then there should be no second time.”

Maggie starts having a panic attack about having naughty sex with Dr. DeLuca, and all of a sudden, it hits Meredith that she hasn’t had sex since Derek. Y’all, it’s been well over two years. Vagina city is a ghost town, as Meredith puts it. DeLuca and Maggie finally run into each other, but she hides behind Meredith before coming out from behind her and telling Dr. DeLuca that she’s tired of scrapbooking and glitter and talking about jumbo condoms. It’s a lot.

Silver Flood! The Musical
There’s a silver flood at Grey-Sloan Memorial. It’s almost as if there’s a musical number that should be devoted to this, as many times as it’s yelled out in the span of 45 seconds. Finally, Dr. DeLuca is told what silver flood means—it’s the code word for older people, but when he announces that, the whole silver flood washes him away. DeLuca has a terrible track record with essentially everyone except Maggie.

The group turns out to give the doctors of Grey-Sloan quite a day, but one patient’s case in particular, an 85-year-old man named Abe, hits Arizona especially hard. He had finally found his soul mate, but he dies. Owen decides to use the interns to inform the loved ones of all the patients who’ve died, and when Meredith finds out, she loses it. Rightly so—and that’s why she gives them a heartfelt speech about what it’s like to take their loved one away. It’s a heartfelt moment in an otherwise pretty light episode.

Stephanie and the trial
Stephanie has been everyone’s favorite resident this season, and Jo has been feeling it for real. But this week, things finally did not work out in her favor when she let a patient in a medical trial fall out of standard care. And after Amelia lets her have it, Stephanie reveals that she was in a clinical trial herself for sickle-cell anemia as a child and completely owns the moment and Amelia. Jo calls her out afterward for using a sob story to get ahead and Stephanie looks shocked, but responds with, “Well it worked. Maybe I’m better without a conscience.” Whether you thought Stephanie was lying here or not, the big takeaway is that Stephanie doesn’t stop to get ahead, and you kind of have to respect that. Amelia tries to apologize to Jo later, but then Jo can’t handle it and tells Amelia that Stephanie lied. YIKES. Turns out she wasn’t lying, and when Amelia throws her under the bus to Webber, it almost breaks her heart.

Don’t tell Penny the dinner party’s dead
Meredith is apparently hosting a dinner for practically the entire cast, which feels like such an anti-Meredith thing to do, but we’re like … 12 years into this journey, who am I to say that this isn’t a Meredith thing to do. Jo doesn’t want to go to dinner with the inner circle, which is pretty much like me trying to get out of every date I set up. But eventually, the party makes sense—especially when we finally discuss that Meredith is a widow.

In short, Meredith doesn’t feel the need to dive into romance or sex right now because she has her kids and her job and her friends, and that leads us to the dinner party. Apparently, an invitation was extended to everyone—including Callie, who decides to bring her new girlfriend. Not only does Callie show up late (rude) but she shows up with Penny. Who’s Penny? That spineless woman who’s practically responsible for Derek dying at that Podunk hospital last season. CHILD.

Notes from the O.R. Board

The episode felt airy, guys! Relaxed even. We had some heavy moments when Stephanie revealed her sickle-cell anemia and when Meredith gave her speech about telling someone they’ve lost a loved one. But it was light … until Penny. If that woman becomes a series regular, I swear. I can’t even. I think I’d rather see that harlot that loved Derek last season. What’re your thoughts? The First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum has met with the Russian Ambassador to Kabul Alexander Mantytskiy to discuss Moscow’s support to the Afghan National Security Forces and the Afghan Air Force.

The meeting was reportedly held following Gen. Dostum’s return from Russia where he met with the country’s defense minister and other government officials, according to the State-owned Sputnik International news agency.

Briefing the Russian Ambassador regarding his visit to Russia, Gen. Dostum requested delivery of lethal military equipment including heavy weapons and Mi-35 gunship helicopters.

Gen. Dostum had also requested Moscow to help Afghanistan in maintenance of the Afghan Air Force helicopters fleet.

This comes as Zamir Kabulov, President Putin's special representative for Afghanistan, said earlier Afghanistan and Russia will a sign an agreement for the delivery of Mi-35 gunship helicopters.

Kabulov further added that the agreement is expected to be signed by the two countries during the ongoing month.

He said the Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the relevant authorities to deliver the gunship helicopters to Afghanistan in a bid to boost the capabilities of the Afghan army.

"Russia is already providing certain assistance in strengthening the capabilities of the Afghan government forces," Kabulov said, adding that Russia will also provide military training for Afghan officers.

A new report has unveiled the horrific criminal activities of the Taliban group in the northern Kunduz city which was overrun following an attack late last month.

The report by Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) was released on Thursday unveiling the atrocities committed by the Taliban militants including target killings, rape, kidnappings, use of civilians as shields, looting of public and private properties.

It also covers the situation of internally displaced people, attack on media and Taliban threats to media, human rights and civil society activists.

Citing one of its findings on target killings the report said at leas three civilians were brutally murdered after they were taken out from their house on charges of having links with the government.

The report further added at least 50 civilians were killed and over 350 others were wounded but the number could be relatively higher as AIHRC said their statistics is based on hospital reports and several others have not been taken to hospital after they were killed or injured.

In regards to the rape cases, AIHRC said they have came across with some evidences and testimonies unveiling the involvement of Taliban militants in rape cases as reported by organizations and media.

According to the report, the Taliban militants have raped women after entering in their houses but the exact number of victims could not be ascertained as majority of the incidents remain unreported due to social and cultural issues and lack of access to the victims due to security reasons.

However, AIHRC said a detailed report regarding the rape incidents would be released once their investigation concludes.

The Taliban militants abducted over 100 people including civilians and service members of the security institutions after they took control of the city, the report said, adding that some of them were released after they were questioned while the others have been taken to unknown locations.

The report also added that Taliban militants have looted at least six government institutions along with the UNHCR office, provincial government office, banks, and shops, while the UNAMA office was set on fire.

According to the report, the conflict forced nearly 14,000 families to flee the area, affecting nearly 70,000 to 100,000 people.

Richard Olson who is currently serving as the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan has been appointed as the U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan (SRAP), states a statement released by the State Department.

He is replacing Dan Feldman who concluded his tenure on September 18.

Thursday’s press release further states that Olson will assume his responsibilities on November 17 and will be responsible for developing and implementing U.S. policies and programs for stability and prosperity in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

"Ambassador Olson will assume his responsibilities as SRAP on November 17, after concluding his service as the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan. As were his predecessors, Ambassador Olson will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs that support U.S. national security interests in promoting stability and increasing prosperity in Afghanistan and Pakistan."

Olson brings extraordinary experience in Afghanistan and Pakistan to his new position.

Prior to his three years of service as the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, Olson served as the Coordinating Director for Development and Economic Affairs at U.S. Embassy Kabul, Afghanistan, from 2011 to 2012, during which time he oversaw all U.S. non-military assistance programs and support for the Afghan government.

The government of Afghanistan has welcomes President Barack Obama's decision for leaving more troops in Afghanistan.

A statement released by the Presidential Palace "ARG" on Thursday states that the decision was made after months of discussions between the two presidents.

The statement further states that the decision is in accordance with the bilateral security pact and strategic cooperation agreement between the two countries.

The decision insures common interest, stability and development of Afghanistan and war on terror in the region and world, the statement states.

The decision was also welcomed by NATO's Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. He said that keeping a substantial presence in Afghanistan beyond 2016 paves the way for sustained NATO presence.

"I welcome President Obama's announcement that the United States will maintain its current troop levels in Afghanistan through 2016 and will retain a substantial presence beyond 2016."

The original plan was to draw-down its troop numbers from 9,800 to about 1,000 by the end of 2016 but according to Obama's announcement on Thursday the troops currently in Afghanistan would stay through most of 2016, and then be reduced to 5,500 troops stationed in Kabul, Bagram, Jalalabad and Kandahar.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani visited northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan after days of violence as a result of a Taliban attack which resulted to fall of Kunduz city.

His visit to Kunduz province comes as the security officials announced Tuesday that the control of Kunduz city was fully retaken from the Taliban.

Hailing the Afghan forces for their sacrifices and bravery, President Ghani said “We have the will, belief, determination, and will never surrender to anyone.”

President Ghani said the Afghan security forces are main factor of peace and stability who are moving forward as a professional force.

He also added that the military officers and service members will receive medals for their bravery and sacrifices, promising his full support to the families of the fallen soldiers.

The attack by the Taliban militants last month was one of the major offensives of the group since 2001 when the group was ousted from power as a result of US-led invasion.

It was the first time Taliban militants had taken over a strategic city including a hospital and a prison where they reportedly freed hundreds of inmates besides incurring heavy casualties to the civilians.

A migrant from Afghanistan lost his life while trying to cross into Bulgaria from Turkey and was shot by the security forces.

The incident took place late on Thursday near the southeastern Bulgarian town of Sredets where a big group of illegal immigrants were looking to enter Bulgaria.

According to the Bulgarian officials, the Afghan migrant was wounded by a ricochet and died on the way to hospital.

“A big group of illegal migrants attempted to enter Bulgaria from Turkey. One man suffered a gunshot wound in the incident and died on the way to hospital,” an interior ministry spokeswoman told AFP.

Chief of Staff for the Bulgarian Interior Ministry Georgy Kostov said the group included 50 migrants all from Afghanistan and was intercepted a patrol of two border guards and a police officer after crossing into Bulgarian territory, according to the Public BNR radio.

Kostov further added “They put up resistance during the arrest. One of the officers fired warning shots and, in his words, one of the migrants was wounded by a ricochet and later died.”

No details have emerged regarding the identity of the deceased but Kostov said an investigation has been opened by the Burgas regional prosecution.

Donald Trump is clearly no fan of George W. Bush, and in an interview released Friday, the Republican presidential front-runner slammed the nation’s 43rd president for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks happening on his watch.

Speaking with Bloomberg, Trump was asked to explain “who Donald Trump is as a man” and how he would make the nation “feel safe” and “proud” — as Bush had after 9/11 and President Obama did after the Dec. 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting in Connecticut.

“I think I have a bigger heart than all of them. I think I'm much more competent than all of them. When you talk about George Bush, I mean — say what you want —  the World Trade Center came down during his time.”

Bloomberg’s Stephanie Ruhle then interrupted and said Trump couldn’t blame Bush for the attacks that left nearly 3,000 Americans dead.

"He was president, OK? Don't blame him or don't blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign. If you look at Sandy Hook, those people are still begging for help. It’s a disaster.”

Not surprisingly, Trump’s critique drew a sharp rebuke from one of his rivals. Jeb Bush, the former president’s younger brother, tweeted that Trump was “pathetic” to attack Bush over the terror attack, adding that “my brother kept us safe.”

Bush offered a similar defense of his brother at the second Republican presidential debate at the Reagan Library last month.

Trump fired back on Twitter Friday night, calling the former Florida governor “pathetic” as well. He also said he “wanted to be nice” in the Reagan Library debate by not making the argument about George W. Bush and 9/11 then.

This is hardly the first time Trump has criticized the Bush presidency. In an interview earlier this month with Fox News, he called Bush “a disaster” and described the decision to go to war with Iraq in 2003 as “one of the worst decisions ever made.”

In declining to discuss Hillary Clinton’s newfound opposition to the Pacific Rim free trade deal, President Obama served notice Friday: He won’t be commenting on lots of things Democratic candidates say during the 2016 election.

“I mean, here is a general proposition, guys,” Obama told reporters. “During the course of what will be a long campaign, I probably won’t be commenting on every single utterance or decision that the various candidates make.”

The reason, he said: “I think that it is natural and proper for candidates to run on their own vision and their own platform.”

Asked specifically about Clinton’s coming out against the Trans-Pacific Partnership, Obama said that, “with respect to the trade and how Hillary views trade, I would have you direct questions to her.”

Obama himself did talk up the Trans-Pacific Partnership, saying the free-trade deal will benefit U.S. workers.

Speaking at a joint news conference with South Korean President Park Geun-hye, Obama did say that he and the Democratic presidential candidates “agree on 95% of stuff.”

While “there are going to be areas where they differ at any given point,” Obama indicated he wouldn’t be discussing them — though it seems certain he won’t be so reticent when it comes to his differences with the Republicans.

After a commanding performance in the first Democratic debate, Hillary Clinton has regained a narrow lead over Bernie Sanders in the crucial state of New Hampshire, a new Suffolk University Poll of likely Democratic voters finds.

In the survey, taken in conjunction with The Boston Globe, Clinton is at 37% and Sanders at 35%. That’s within the poll’s 4.4 percentage point margin of error.

The poll of 500 Democrats, taken Wednesday and Thursday, is the first public poll released in the aftermath of Tuesday’s debate.

Even what is essentially a tie reflects an improvement for the former secretary of State in the Granite State, which holds the first presidential primary next February. In the four most recent previous statewide polls, averaged by RealClearPolitics, the Vermont senator had led Clinton, 39% to 30%.

In the new survey, Vice President Biden, who hasn’t decided whether to run, was at 11%. Former Virginia senator Jim Webb was at 3%, and former governors Martin O’Malley of Maryland and Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island were each at 1%.

Among the 283 Democrats who watched the debate, a 54% chose Clinton as the winner; 24% chose Sanders.

New Hampshire Democrats also see Clinton as having the best chance of winning the general election next November. A 52% majority chose her, compared with 16% who cited Sanders and 14% Biden.

Even so, questions of trust continues to dog Clinton. Asked which of the potential candidates they trusted the most, 33% chose Sanders, 23% Biden and 22% Clinton.

But by nearly 2-1, 62%-36%, they said the controversy over her emails at the State Department didn’t bother them.

And Clinton’s position in support of gun control measures was more in step with voters than Sanders, who has voted against some of the proposals: 41% say Clinton more closely reflects their position on guns; 24% Sanders.

They also are inclined to say Biden shouldn’t run. Fifty percent said he shouldn’t, while 36% said he should.

A little more than a month and a half into her first-ever congressional campaign, Little House on the Prairie actress Melissa Gilbert has raised more than $200,000 and, as predicted, been able to tap into some well-known entertainment industry pockets for support.

Gilbert, who in mid-August announced her run as a Democrat for the seat held by Republican Rep. Mike Bishop, filed a finance report this week that not only showed she can raise substantial sums in a short time but featured a roster of stars you'd expect to see on a red carpet somewhere.

Alec Baldwin gave $1,000; Jennifer Garner, Rosie O'Donnell and Kiefer Sutherland donated $5,400 apiece. Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg contributed $2,700, and John Slattery of Mad Men gave $2,700.

And that's just the start of a list that includes other Hollywood luminaries from Seth Green, Juliette Lewis and Melissa Rivers to Florence Henderson of The Brady Bunch and Katey Sagal of Married … With Children. Gilbert's sister, actress Sara Gilbert, gave her nearly $1,400.

That's not to say that Gilbert did better than Bishop for the July-September reporting period, however — the first-term congressman out-raised her, barely — or to suggest that she didn't have a sizable number of contributions from Michigan, which appeared to be listed in her finance report. (The FEC has not yet provided for hers or Bishop's quarterly contributions to be tallied electronically by state.)

But it did suggest that Gilbert, a writer, director and producer who is best known for her portrayal of Laura Ingalls Wilder in NBC’s Little House in the 1970s and ’80s, may be able to tap into some deep pockets in New York and California to help fund her bid to take on Bishop in Michigan’s Republican-leaning 8th District next year.

Gilbert, who also is a popular former president of the Screen Actors Guild, moved to the district in 2013 with her husband, actor Timothy Busfield.

Bishop, a former majority leader in the Michigan state Senate who replaced former congressman Mike Rogers this year, raised nearly $214,000 in the three-month period ending Sept. 30, according to his report with the Federal Election Commission.

Of that, more than $146,000 came from political action committees, much of it from industry groups and congressional leadership PACs, including those led by House Speaker John Boehner, House Ways and Means Chairman Paul Ryan and Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton.

While Bishop only did a bit better fundraising than Gilbert in the quarter, he had much more cushion to begin with: His take in the July-September quarter raised his total receipts this election cycle to nearly $530,000 and, as of Sept. 30, he had nearly $400,000 in cash on hand.

Gilbert had far less — $183,000 — on hand at the end of the reporting period, but given that she had collected only $27,000 from PACs — $10,000 of that from New York U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand's leadership PAC — and that she did it in about seven weeks’ time suggests that she has plenty of room to grow her fundraising efforts in Democratic circles.

President Obama declined to comment Friday on whether Joe Biden should seek the White House in 2016, telling reporters that “you can direct those questions to my very able vice president.”

Obama also said he was “very impressed” with the five announced Democratic presidential candidates who participated in Tuesday’s debate, but he declined to make an endorsement, saying that’s up to the voters.

Speaking at a joint news conference with South Korea President Park Geun-hye, Obama confessed he did not watch all of Tuesday’s debate because there  were “some ballgames” going on at the time.

“There was a little bit of clicking back and forth,” Obama said.

Former senator Ted Kaufman, a longtime top adviser to Vice President Biden, offered clues about Biden’s presidential deliberations in a letter to supporters Thursday night, saying that Biden will run a “campaign from the heart” if he enters the 2016 race.

Kaufman hinted that Biden is close to making a decision.

“I am confident that the Vice President is aware of the practical demands of making a final decision soon,” Kaufman said in his letter, a copy of which was obtained by The News Journal. “He has been in public and political life a long time and he has a good grip on the mechanics around this decision.”

Kaufman, who was appointed by former governor Ruth Ann Minner in 2008 serve out the remainder of Biden’s term in the Senate when he was elected vice president, pledged an “optimistic campaign” from Biden should he decide to seek the Democratic presidential nomination.

“If he runs, he will run because of his burning conviction that we need to fundamentally change the balance in our economy and the political structure to restore the ability of the middle class to get ahead,” Kaufman said. “And what kind of campaign?  An optimistic campaign. A campaign from the heart. A campaign consistent with his values, our values, and the values of the American people. And I think it’s fair to say, knowing him as we all do, that it won’t be a scripted affair — after all, it’s Joe.”

Kaufman’s letter, which was sent late Thursday, was first reported by the Associated Press. The letter comes after reports that former secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s strong performance in the first Democratic presidential made it more difficult for Biden to enter the race and rationalize a campaign.

But Kaufman said Biden’s top consideration remains whether his family can withstand another presidential campaign. The vice president and the Biden family have been considering a campaign just months after the May 30 death of Beau Biden, the vice president’s eldest son and former Delaware attorney general.

“All of you know well that the first and foremost consideration will be the welfare and support of his family,” Kaufman said in the letter. “That’s Joe Biden. He has been clear about this and it is as true today as it has been for the past several months. He is determined to take, and to give his family, as much time as possible to work this through.”

It sounds like CNBC, Donald Trump and other Republicans have resolved their problems over the next GOP presidential debate.

“@CNBC has just agreed that the debate will be TWO HOURS,” Trump tweeted Friday. “Fantastic news for all, especially the millions of people who will be watching!”

The New York Times reported that Republican National Committee officials reached out to senior GOP campaign aides on Friday to inform them that CNBC had decided to keep the debate to two hours, which will include commercials, and allow 30-second opening and closing statements.

Trump, Ben Carson, and other Republican candidates had raised the prospect of boycotting the Boulder, Colo., debate unless CNBC changed some of the rules — namely the length and restrictions against opening and closing remarks.

Trump had accused CNBC of seeking a longer debate in order “to sell more commercials.”

It’s midway through October, so you know what that means — the fundraising numbers for the third quarter are in the house! PARTY TIME (for all you campaign finance nerds). What have we learned from this?

#GOPDebateIII: The one where no one comes?

We’re 12 days out from the third Republican debate, but the drama has already begun: Donald Trump and Ben Carson aren’t particularly keen on CNBC not allowing for opening and closing statements (because we haven’t heard those twice already) or on the possibility of the debate going over 120 minutes, including commercials (a point we heartily agree with). They’re so mad about it that they wrote a letter, reports USA TODAY’s David Jackson. And basically threatened not to come if their demands weren’t met. Which sounds a lot like the way Congress works these days. They’re already more like those career politicians than they know.

United Airlines new CEO Oscar Munoz has been admitted to the hospital

Shares in United Continental Holdings-(UAL) took a slight dip Friday in the wake of news that its CEO had been admitted to the hospital.

The airline company’s stock was trading at $56.07, a roughly 3% drop. 

United CEO Oscar Munoz was taken to the hospital on Thursday, according to a statement from the airline. The Wall Street Journal reported that he had suffered a heart attack.

Munoz took over as CEO in the wake of the abrupt resignation of Jeff Smisek.  who stepped down amid a federal inquiry into whether the airline engaged in an unlawful quid-pro-quo with the former head of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Despite the news about Munoz’s health, Jim Corridore, equity analyst with S&P Capital IQ, maintained a “strong buy” for the carrier.  “Severity of his medical condition at this time is unknown,” he wrote in an investors note. Still, “we think that the company has a deep enough bench to continue its merger integration and improvement plans.”

Shares of gaming giant Wynn Resorts (WYNN) are down nearly 4% Friday after reported quarterly profit has dropped in half mostly due to a slowdown in Macau.

The company reported an adjusted quarterly profit of 86 cents a share, which met expectations. Revenue, however, fell 27% to $996 million, which fell short of expectations by 3%, says S&P Capital IQ.

Shares of Wynn have been a big loser for investors, dropping more than 59% over the past year. Wynn fell $2.69, or 3.6%, to $71.08 Friday.

Wow! Normal, everyday German families are getting really mad. “Waking up” gets tossed around a lot, but they really are waking up.

If illegal immigrants really were refugees they would be going to Saudi Arabia or Israel. They only come to Europe to get free stuff (which comes out of the pockets of working European families, need I remind you).

Researchers at the University of York, Britain, and the University of California, Los Angeles, have used transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to suppress what they describe as the “threat-response functions” of the human brain.

“We think that hearing criticisms of your group's values, perhaps especially from a person you perceive as an outsider, is processed as an ideological sort of threat,” said Dr. Keise Izuma.

“One way to respond to such threats is to 'double down' on your group values, increasing your investment in them and reacting more negatively to the critic.”

“When we disrupted the brain region that usually helps detect and respond to threats, we saw a less negative, less ideologically motivated reaction to the critical author and his opinions,”

American participants were given two fictional essays written by immigrants to read. One was positive of America, and the other was critical.

When the participants’ brains were altered with magnetic energy, they were then given the same essays to read again.

The researchers found that there was a 28.5% increase in positive feelings towards the immigrant who criticized America.

“These findings are very striking, and consistent with the idea that brain mechanisms that evolved for relatively basic threat-response functions are repurposed to also produce ideological reactions,”

This experiment also tested to see if magnetic energy would change people’s’ religious opinions as well.

“We decided to remind people of death because previous research has shown that people turn to religion for comfort in the face of death.”

“As expected, we found that when we experimentally turned down the posterior medial frontal cortex, people were less inclined to reach for comforting religious ideas despite having been reminded of death,”

The experiment found that magnetic energy had made the participants 32.8% (one-third) less likely to believe in God, angels or heaven.

Before 1960, this research even have been necessary. Post 1960, the borders of majority White countries were opened upon one by one, and now they have the highest percentage of immigrants they have ever had in their history.

Northrop Grumman Corp. wants the U.S. Army to unleash its Hellhound on the battlefield.

The Fall Church, Virginia-based contractor introduced a prototype of its new light reconnaissance vehicle, called the Hellhound, this week at the Association of the United States Army annual conference in Washington, D.C.

The sleek, black vehicle can hold a squad of six soldiers and their gear, export 100 kilowatts of power and travel in the back of a CH-47 Chinook cargo helicopter. It features a 30mm cannon that can fold from the roof into the vehicle, a height-reduction system and flat-screen display.

The company, which partnered with Pratt & Miller Defense and Jenoptik to develop the technology, has released a promotional video of the Hellhound (see below):

These are military codes (or possibly civilian ex-mil patriots militia that I’m not sure of) which are translated from one radio operator callsign of one battle group to another radio operator callsign of the same battle group within a means of sending encoded messages to the commanders and/or action orders or sometimes requesting something or a specific manuever of the battle group. Not sure which of these it is. But when I was in the navy way back when this was done in the battle exercises to inform the other ship commanders of what we were doing without saying what it was that could be intercepted by the enemy to decode what it was that was going to take place. There are usually pre-setup code strings that are acknowledged with messages that are attatched to these codes that are sent out prior to these exercises via crypto radio throught the fleet with the meanings behind these coded hexadecimal type formats. So one simply has to have the coded inscriptions laid out to know what to look for in the meaning. These can also change at the drop of a hat in battle and/or they will change by the hour depending on the frequency of chamge and/or the defcon measures to follow

So I guess now the question remains… who is COLLAPSE…? mil, ex-mil patriot, and/or what are his intentions with this message and who are they discussing this to?

The other thing is… the last time this guy was heard from was 2001…? Would that have been 9-11 perhaps? Because that’s all I could think of when I read that…

Google has won an appeal in what is now a decade-long legal dispute over whether the company violated copyright law when it scanned millions of books into its online database.

The original lawsuit was brought against Google by the Authors Guild in 2005 and claimed that Google had violated copyright law by allowing readers to view up to 20 pages of copyrighted books without purchasing them.

Google won the case two years ago, but the Authors Guild opted to appeal the ruling, which led to today’s decision upholding Google’s win.

A panel of three judges unanimously agreed today that Google had not violated any copyright by allowing the text of the scanned books to be searched by users because the sections that were viewable to users without a purchase were not significant enough to amount to infringement.

The case is not to be confused with the very similar case involving the Association of American Publishers, which ended when the group came to an agreement with Google almost three years ago to the day.

Samsung has announced two new colors for the Galaxy Note 5, both of which will be available only in Korea for the time being. Along with a titanium-hued finish, customers will be able to get the Note 5 in a “pink gold” shade reminiscent of Apple’s ‘rose gold’ iPhone 6s, which will go on sale in Korea later this month.

The pink gold model will go on sale on October 23rd, the same day Apple’s phone is set to debut in the country. The titanium model doesn’t have a solid date set yet, with reports simply indicating that it will be out “soon.”

Last year Samsung introduced a pink version of the Note 4, so the move isn’t totally unprecedented, though the timing certainly makes it seem like this is a response to Apple’s rollout.

The titanium model will come in two capacities, 32 GB and 64 GB, while pink gold will only be available in the larger size. Samsung says it has plans to roll these colors out to additional Asian markets, but whether they’ll ever see release in the United States is still unknown.

Google has today announced that its Google Calendar illustrations, which show up as little piece of art reflecting the events that you create, now appear is as many as 30 languages. Additionally, Google says that is adding over a dozen more of these illustrations for new kinds of events, specifically naming weddings and Halloween parties as a couple of them…

Today we’re improving these illustrations in two ways. First, you’ll find over a dozen more of them for events like weddings and Halloween parties. Second, illustrations will now appear in 30 languages–from Dutch and Finnish to Catalan and Korean–giving our global community of users a new way to celebrate their day.

Finally, Google is inviting you to send off some images that could be inspiration for the next round of Google Calendar illustrations. All you have to do is head over to the social network of your choice and tweet a photo of you doing something less mundane than watching YouTube or browsing Reddit, and attach the hashtag #makethemost.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk held a press conference a couple of days ago to explain the Autopilot features included in the company’s 7.0 software update, but LIDAR, one of the remote sensing technologies that Google uses in its self-driving car, also came up briefly. Elon Musk had some bold comments about to use of LIDAR in autonomous vehicles, in response to one inquiry from a WSJ reporter, which questioned whether the Model S would need more sensors for greater levels autonomy…

The Google prototype’s self-driving abilities are powered mainly by a LIDAR array on top of the vehicle, which — in simple terms — measures distance by pointing lasers at targets surrounding the car and analyzing the light that’s reflected. When questioned on whether future Tesla cars would need more sensors, potentially including LIDAR, Musk suggests that this technology “doesn’t make sense” and is “unnecessary” in the context of an autonomous car.

He doesn’t outright say that Google’s implementation is bad, but rather suggests that LIDAR isn’t something that a future Tesla would need. “I don't think you need LIDAR. I think you can do this all with passive optical and then with maybe one forward RADAR,” he said. “I think that completely solves it without the use of LIDAR. I'm not a big fan of LIDAR, I don't think it makes sense in this context.” Harsh words for someone that has sleepovers with Larry Page on occasion.

Here’s Musk’s full response, when asked if it would be possible to move toward greater levels of autonomy in the Tesla Model S without adding hardware:

There's more that can be done, but the sensor suite is not the full autonomy suite. For full autonomy you'd obviously need 360 cameras, you'd probably need redundant forward cameras, you'd need redundant computer hardware, and like redundant motors and steering rack. For full autonomy you'd really want to have a more comprehensive sensor suite and computer systems that are fail proof.

That said, I don't think you need LIDAR. I think you can do this all with passive optical and then with maybe one forward RADAR… if you are driving fast into rain or snow or dust. I think that completely solves it without the use of LIDAR. I'm not a big fan of LIDAR, I don't think it makes sense in this context.

We do use LIDAR for our dragon spacecraft when docking with the space station. And I think it makes sense [in that case] and we've put a lot of effort into developing that. So it's not that I don't like LIDAR in general, I just don't think it makes sense in a car context. I think it's unnecessary.

So clearly, while he doesn’t think LIDAR is the answer, a future Tesla is going to need more than just a software upgrade to get full autonomy. A future Tesla car would need 360 degree cameras, according to Musk, as well as redundant forward cameras, redundant computer systems, and a redundant motor to act as a failsafe. As Musk has noted many times in the past, full autonomy will require the approval of many regulatory bodies, and the technology is just about three years away.

BlackBerry already made the PRIV official last month, and then followed up with some of the first official images of the device posted to its blog. Not much of what the company has said up to this point though has been new, though. Even the official images it published a couple weeks ago were pretty much the same as the ones we saw four months ago.

And this new video follows in the same vein as that theme. We’ve already seen an in-depth hands-on video with the phone, we’ve seen its specs leaked what feels like a dozen times, pre-registration for the phone opened up a couple of days ago, and just earlier today pre-orders for the phone went live in the UK. I guess it’s just a pretty marketing clip…

While the phone went up for pre-orders in the UK this morning, we still don’t have word on when you’ll be able to snag one in the US. For those lucky enough to live on the other side of the pond, though, Carphone Warehouse will sell it to customers on contract or as an upgrade. Pricing sits at £49 per month for those wanting to pay nothing up front.

Google earlier this week pushed the Chrome Android app to version 46, and now the browser’s desktop clients and Chrome OS are seeing the update as well. While Google has yet to publish and official list of changes for the Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux version (although we have noticed the removal of one major user-facing feature), we do have a quick look at the changes that version 46 is bringing to Chrome OS…

First, it seems that Google has removed the ability to search via the “OK Google” hotword in version 46 for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Like many other features (the notification center being a recent example) that have seen removal across Chrome’s lifespan, that’s perhaps because it’s not exactly used very often. You still can, however, still use the feature on Chrome OS, and click the microphone icon on the Google homepage allowing you to “Search by voice” on desktop.

Unlike the desktop versions, Google has outlined some of the changes coming to version 46 for Chrome OS. Among other features, this update features an improved WiFi scanning indicator in the status bar, a completely overhauled Chrome OS Gallery app that finally — after more than a year — has Material Design influence, improved USC Type-C charging settings, and general performance improvements.

Some highlights of the changes Google says are coming to Chrome OS in version 46:

• Improved wifi scanning indicator
• Chrome OS Gallery overhauled to follow material design language
• Search over Drive right from the Chrome OS Launcher
• Offers users to enable Data Saver when on metered connections
• Improved USB-C charging settings
• Improved Hangouts CPU usage on Intel devices

As is the case with all Google Chrome updates, you don’t have to do anything to get the latest version. The Chrome browser on desktop and Chrome OS should update themselves in the background, and will install when you restart your browser or computer.

There are several Nexus devices that just don’t support Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and that fact has left some owners of ancient technology very unhappy. But this is Android, of course, and there’s nothing keeping developers from tinkering with Google’s open source OS. Specifically, owners of the 2012 Nexus 7 should rejoice in this case: It's definitely at your own risk, but you can now install an early and hacky unofficial build of Google's latest version of Android on your phone. Here's how to do it…

The unofficial image comes by way of a developer named Dmitry Grinberg, and his instructions on making the image yourself using the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) are published on his website. That's the theoretically safer method of installing Marshmallow on your Nexus 4, as we can't prove that Grinberg didn't tinker with the full working image he provided. The good news is that if you trust him, you can download the full working image that he provided — and installing it is pretty simple.

You can download the image from Dmitry's website (the download might take a while at the moment as he doesn’t have the most powerful servers). He suggests that you use the latest publicly available bootloader when flashing.

While we don't have a dinosaur Nexus 7 (2012) to test it on, we have confidence that it will work given the many reports from Redditors who have praised his Nexus 4 ROM. To install the factory image, simply follow our guide. That guide assumes you already have the ADB tools installed on your computer. If you need the ADB tools, head over and download the Android SDK. The rest of the guide should be pretty straightforward (once you manage to download the image, or create it yourself, of course).

In a rumor that’s no surprise to anyone, SamMobile‘s sources have told the publication that the next Samsung Galaxy flagship will have a USB Type-C port. In this case, I think we’d be more surprised if the next Samsung didn’t feature a Type-C connector. Sammy is regularly quick to jump onboard and adopt new technologies, and whether it’s NFC, fingerprint sensors, wireless charging or Quick-Charge compatibility, the Korean tech giant has historically been among the earliest to show off their potential.,,

Most of the rumors surrounding the Galaxy S7 to date have centered on the processor being used to power the device. If early leaked benchmarks are anything to go by, the company is — at the very least — testing the Snapdragon 820 processor. If Samsung does adopt Qualcomm’s next flagship chip, it’s expected that it’ll only do so in select regions. China and the US have been rumored to be the markets chosen for the SD820-equipped Galaxy S7, while other markets will get smartphones with an Exynos processor.

If true, we should see a launch around about the usual time for Samsung: Early Spring/Late Winter 2016. Qualcomm announced a little while back that its next processor won’t be ready for mainstream until next year, which explains why the Nexus 6P launched with the SD810 and not the SD820 as was initially rumored a few months ago.

BlackBerry recently launched a site to give interested customers the chance to register for updates on the BlackBerry PRIV’s arrival. The QWERTY-equipped Android slider has been drawing a lot of attention for itself over recent weeks and months. Today, one retailer in the UK has exclusively opened pre-orders for the device.

Sadly, there’s no option to buy the phone SIM-free and unlocked, but Carphone Warehouse will sell it to customers on a new contract or on upgrade. Pricing starts at £49 per month for those wanting to pay nothing up front for the phone. For that plan on Vodafone, subscribers will get unlimited calls and texts plus 2GB of 4G LTE data. As far as I can see, the cheapest overall way to get the phone is on O2. By paying £79.99 up-front for the PRIV, you can get unlimited minutes and texts, plus 1GB of 4G data for £32.50 per month. You can view all the available tariff options here.

Interestingly, despite being available to order from a third-party retailer, BlackBerry hasn’t yet opened up pre-orders from its own online store. As far as we know, the phone isn’t available to pre-order in any other region. However, if that changes, we’ll update the post with more regional information. It’s not strange for the UK to be among the first countries to get a BlackBerry phone. In years gone by, BlackBerry has opted to launch first in the UK, sometimes even before its home country of Canada.

Just days after OnePlus invited the world it its London event on October 29 to release its upcoming smartphone, its next device has shown up on Oppomart. The retailer specializes in shipping Chinese-made smartphones to markets where they’re not currently available, with devices from the likes of Xiaomi, Meizu, Oppo and ZTE all available. The OnePlus X is listed at just $249, making it far more affordable than the OnePlus 2 and — if the listed specs are accurate — far better value for money.

Although you can’t order it yet, the OnePlus X placeholder page does reveal some of the expected specifications. They include the following:

Last year, when it launched its first phone, OnePlus frustrated many buyers by having an invite-only system. Part of the frustration was waiting, the other part was having no idea when you would actually get an invite. A friend who had managed to buy one, or a  forum member would have to send an invite in order for you to be able to give the company your money for a phone.

This year, OnePlus kept the invite system for the OnePlus 2 but also introduced a reservation list. Although you’d still have to wait for an invite, at least you’d know you were on a list to receive one eventually. That reservation list will soon close…

OnePlus announced on its official forums that, from October 22nd, it will no longer take new requests from hopeful customers to be placed on the waiting list.

As production is ramping up, we want to ensure that as many people as possible who signed up get their invite, so we feel it's in the best interest of our users to close the list and make sure that this happens. In one week (October 22), the OnePlus 2 Invite Reservation List will no longer be taking new entries. Those who have already signed up will receive theirs based on their place in line as we roll out invites chronologically. This also means that your reservation list number will be locked on that date, and you will no longer be able to bump yourself up the list by sharing your link with friends.

The company notes that some 5 million people have signed up to be on the waiting list for invites, and now it wants to make sure it builds all the phones and sends them out as quickly as possible. Although we can’t imagine that all 5 million people will buy the phone, even if only half of them do, that’s still a huge number of phones sold by a company the size of OnePlus.

From next Thursday, the only way you’ll be able to buy a OnePlus 2 is if you’re on the waiting list already and get an invite, or if someone who’s already bought one shares an invitation with you. On the plus side, OnePlus has also announced that people who have purchased a device already will soon receive three invites to share with their friends and family.

Just one week after the reservation list closes, OnePlus is due to release its third phone at an event in London, which is perhaps the reason why its seeking to trim down on its waiting list. With a new phone coming, and the open admission that it’s not so good at inventory management, it probably doesn’t want to deal with two separate waiting lists.
